Architect become Illustrator, From Cordoba, Argentina to NYC, USA
For 15 months, every job felt like throwing my portfolio into a black hole. I wasn’t connected. I didn’t know the market. I had skills, but on paper, I looked like every other architect. So I ran straight into a very painful wall of 278 rejections.
Munditos means “small worlds”, because every architect carries a world inside — a set of influences, stories, skills, and perspectives that deserve to be seen.
And architects don’t get hired for drawings, they get hired for identity, personality, and meaning. Once I added storytelling… everything shifted. Interviews appeared. Then my first NYC job. Then 5 years of project managing, CA, deadlines, and leadership.
I realized architects aren’t missing talent, they’re missing visibility, voice, confidence, and a way to communicate their world.
But no one teaches architects how to express that world. Schools don’t teach it. Firms don’t encourage it. And portfolios often hide it.
So I created Munditos to be the bridge I didn’t have.
